Google Maps

Google Maps is a application that is provided by Google for non-commercial use. It offers street maps and search for buildings and street view. Google Map also can show satellite images for many urban areas. You can also get directions on how to get from your location to your destination using Google Maps. Google Maps is available on smartphone and any Java-based mobile device. You can also access Google Maps using your computer by typing in the URL maps.google.com. So when you are in need of a map, you can use Google Maps to help you get directions of your location and also your destination.

AMD APU

APU( Accelerated Processing Unit) is a processing system that combines CPU, GPU, video processing and other accelerator capabilities in all. AMD Fusion is the series of APUs by AMD (Advanced Micro Devices ) and they represent powerful processing units. It is like a system on chip rather than CPU which is assisted by the different parts such as the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit). As the APU includes the CPU and GPU together, data transfer rates is improved reducing power consumption rate. Also, AMD APUs provides better graphics as it emphasizes more on graphics which means they focus more on providing good graphics while Intel emphasizes more on performance.

In conclusion, AMD Fusion series of APUs is introduced to provide consumers with chips that can allow the computer to have longer battery life, lower power consumption and battery graphics capabilities.

How about that! Just ever so recently record label Cube Entertainment has joined the trend of using Facebook page! Basically, they also implemented this idea knowing the fact that it is a very good and effective way to promote and keep connected to the audience who are fans of idols of this label. This way, Cube staff members can post latest information of the comebacks of their idols and all the audience can comment and like those posts. Interactivity is an important key factor of Web 2.0 that enables its success don't u think so? :D

Google +

Google Plus, is a social networking service like Facebook that allows users to add each other as friends. There are features such as Circles, Hangouts, Huddle, Sparks and "+1" button. "Circles" is a feature that allows users to manipulate contacts organizing them into groups. That means users can drag and drop their friends into different circles which symbolizes different social circles of the user. "Hangouts" is a feature that is basically the group video chat function that allows a maximum of 10 users to participate in a single "Hangout" at any point of time. "Huddle" is a feature that allows smartphone users which only include Android, iPhone and SMS devices for instant messaging within circles. "Sparks" is a feature that is basically Google Search, enabling users to share topics they are interested to share with others. Sparks also keep users updated on their topics of interest.

Therefore, Facebook, being faced with a strong competitor like Google+, has launched video calling service with Skype, which allows one to one video calling in an attempt to challenge Google+ 's Hangouts feature. So, we can see that Facebook feels threatened by Google+ which shows that Google's response to the rise of Facebook is strong and they are serious about cracking the social networking service market.

Today, I would like to talk to you about hosting content – The easy way. Uploading content to the internet can be really simple, you do not need to know to know a pile of knowledge or information just to upload your content and share it on the internet. IT (Information Technology) has brought about significant improvements in Business operations and in the entire human life as whole.

Talking about Globalization, IT has not only brought the world closer together, but it has allowed the world's economy to become a single interdependent system. This means that we can not only share information quickly and efficiently, but we can also bring down barriers of linguistic and geographic boundaries. The world has developed into a global village due to the help of information technology allowing countries like who are not only separated by distance but also by language to shares ideas and information with each other.

In communication, IT has helped to make communication cheaper, quicker, and more efficient. Choosing a Right Browser:

Choosing a right browser is especially important, and today, I will be talking about choosing a right browser which will provide you with the utmost security with no compromise in speed. In today’s contenders, I will be choosing the top 5 browsers in the industry to date. Mainly, Internet Explorer, Google’s Chrome, Mozilla’s Firefox, Opera and Apple’s Safari (In no particular of merit).

We will provide you a simple and in depth understanding of each browser.

Opera, one of the browser projects that spun off from a telecomm company works on browsers both on the desktop and mobile platforms.

Google’s Chrome, which was initially a project to surf the web faster and easier with no complications. It is one of the largely used web browsers and gaining a market share with time.

Mozilla’s Firefox, a open source web-browser that was created after AOL stopped its Netscape browser which many was using previously. It is known as one of the browsers with the largest market share in the browsers world.

Internet Explorer, a browser that was tied into Microsoft Windows machine by default is a browser which gain instant popularity when it was being released as it was tied in by the Operating System and do not require any further installation.

Users should switch to alternative browsers after history of known security flaws.

Apple’s Safari, a browser that was built for Apple’s Mac OS X Operating System, one of the growing market share in the industry.

With the emergence of cloud computing, there are more and more users who are using web-based office suites to run and edit word documents or PowerPoint presentations for the convenience of being able to have multiple editors and also convenience of passing the documents to viewers which you want to show. That means when you are running a document on Google Docs for example, you can allow access to people who you want for them to view or even edit the document. Thus, it is very convenient for students doing a project that requires use of word document or presentation to do collaborative text editing.

Google Docs vs Microsoft Office Web Apps

1) Storage

Both services allow users to upload any file and use the service as storage. Microsoft's SkyDrive offers 25GB of free personal storage with individual files limited to 100MB while Google Docs offers data storage of any files up to 1GB each in size.

2) Collaborating

Google Docs offers real-time collaboration where edits are saved and shown to everyone instantly. Microsoft is also bringing similar feature which is called co-authoring. Also, Microsoft offers sharing but only one user is able to edit the document at a time.

3) Overall Features

Google Docs include many popular features in word processors such as spell check, tables, equations and much more. Google Docs also allows users to create web forms which can be used to conduct survey or collate information from people.

In conclusion, I would recommend Google Docs although the storage provided is lesser compared to Microsoft's Office Web Apps, I think that real-time collaboration is more important than storage as the main convenience that Web-based office suites can bring to users is being able to let multiple users edit a document at the same time.

Google Cloud Connect

With the rise of cloud computing, more and more users are making use of this technology. Google Cloud Connect is a free plug-in for Microsoft Office that can store and synchronize with Google Docs. So, for example, if you are using Microsoft Word to type a document, when you use Google Cloud Connect to synchronize the document, the Google Docs copy will be updated each time you save the Microsoft Word document. So, you can edit your Microsoft Word document without internet access and synchronize the document to Google Docs when you have internet access again.

Talking about online shopping, I'm sure some of the girls will be very excited about it. We can no need to waste our energy to go to the shopping mall to buy the things we want. Just yesterday, the japanese stall in canteen 4 is said to have caught fire. A gush of thick smoke followed by a loud sound took place in the scene of the incident! There was no major fire that took place but the air conditioned canteen 4 was said to have lots of black smoke covering the area. The stall owners had put out the fire themselves but no one knew how this started.

Ways To Control Gaming Addiction

Hi guys !!! I am back ~~ I really hope you guys are looking forward to what i am going to post !!! Today i will talk about Ways To Control Gaming Addiction!!!

Before i am going to tell you how to control gaming addiction i am going to share with you on the symptoms. There are two type of symptoms , one is psychological and another one is physical.

Psychological Symptoms :

1. You feel ‘amazing’ when you’re on the computer.

2. You can’t stop playing

3. You neglect family and friends

4. You crave more time on the computer.

5. You feel empty,depressed and irritable when you’re not playing addictive games

6. You lie about gaming.

Physical Symptoms:

1. Carpal syndrome

2. Migraine headaches

3. Irregular eating: skipping meals etc.

4. Lack of hygiene

5. Sleep problems

6. Obsessive thinking of playing

If you have all this Symptoms please start to control yourself! I am going to tell you some ways to control yourself in gaming.

There a quite a few ways to control computer game addiction.

1) Admit there is a problem and tell others about it and ask for help.

2) Ask yourself, if you are addicted to a particular game or is it any game? Control yourself by playing that game 2hours a day.

3) Figure out what causes you to play addictive games. Ex: when you’re around certain people, at particular website? These are your triggers to play and you should avoid them. They give you cravings.

4) Make a Time Table for yourself on what are you going to do that day.

5) Time yourself. If you play on the computer 22 hours a week, cut down to 19 or so. Keep at it, and fill your time with the activities that you’ve been avoiding.

Don’t be hard on yourself. Like any addiction, you will relapse and go back to your old behavior. Don't be discourages just get back on track and stick to your goal to cut down addiction and you will eventually spent lesser time on game.

In information technology, gap analysis is an assessment tool to help identify differences between information systems or applications. A gap is sometimes called "the space between where we are and where we want to be."

A gap analysis helps bridge that space by highlighting which requirements are being met and which are not. The tool provides a foundation for measuring the investment of time, money and human resources that's required to achieve a particular outcome.

In software development, for instance, a gap analysis can be used to document which services and/or functions have been accidentally left out, which ones have been deliberately eliminated and which still need to be developed. In compliance, a gap analysis can be used to compare what is required by law to what is currently being done.

Computer hardware is any physical device, something that you are able to touch and software is a collection of instructions and code installed into the computer and cannot be touched.

Example of computer hardware : keyboard and mouse

Example of computer software : MSN and microsoft office

Can a computer run without software?

In most situations, yes, a computer can run without software being installed. However, if an operating system or interpreter is not found on the computer it would either generate an error or sit at a black screen. Installing additional programs onto the computer after the operating system has been installed will only give that computer additional abilities. For example, a word processor is not required, but will allow you to create documents and letters.

Can a computer run without hardware?

Depends on the hardware. Almost all computer setups will require at least a disk drive (e.g. hard drive), display, keyboard, memory, motherboard, processor, power supply and video card in order to function properly. If any of these devices was missing or had problems, an error would be encountered, or the computer would not start.

Everywhere you go, regardless which corner are you at in the world, you would definitely almost close too 100% of the people with an electronic gadget. The world has changed so much that if you do not keep up with the latest trend of IT, u would not survive.

Facebook, twitter, Youtube, blogger and many more. It has become such a habit that people cant live without. IT has become so powerful that it is so hard not to not use it!

The future would all be about IT!

! Without IT , we can't go to these sites to play games in facebook like restaurant city, bejeweled, zuma and etc , to tweet by updating what we are doing or thinking in our mind in twitter, searching for information in google and lastly watching videos/dramas from all over the world in youtube!
Talking about dramas, lets guess , dramas from which country is the most popular? Well, many people have their own view. Some may like Taiwan dramas, some may like Korean dramas, HongKong dramas and etc. But for me, I like Korea and Taiwan dramas *scream* Haha. Korea dramas are mostly romantic kinds. I'm sure many girls outside also like to watch Korean dramas, as they can see handsome celebrity! Haha. One of the handsome celebrity is LEE MIN HO! (my bro) haha .
