APU( Accelerated Processing Unit) is a processing system that combines CPU, GPU, video processing and other accelerator capabilities in all. AMD Fusion is the series of APUs by AMD (Advanced Micro Devices ) and they represent powerful processing units. It is like a system on chip rather than CPU which is assisted by the different parts such as the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit). As the APU includes the CPU and GPU together, data transfer rates is improved reducing power consumption rate. Also, AMD APUs provides better graphics as it emphasizes more on graphics which means they focus more on providing good graphics while Intel emphasizes more on performance.

In conclusion, AMD Fusion series of APUs is introduced to provide consumers with chips that can allow the computer to have longer battery life, lower power consumption and battery graphics capabilities.
